Numerous people are receiving  scam letters from Equity Financial INC. 400-2525 Grumman Ave, Toronto ON, Canada, stating that they are a winner in the North American Lottery. Enclosed with the letter is a check in the amount of $4,683.00 drawn on the account of Equity Financial Inc, 48 Wildwood Rd. West Simsbury, CT 6092, at Thomaston Savings Bank. These checks are counterfeit. There is no North American Lottery. Thomaston Savings Bank has no relationship with Equity Financial Inc. Canadian authorities have been notified in an attempt to stop the scam.
