Police News
THOMASTON - Save the date. April is National
Child Abuse Prevention Month. The Child Abuse
Investigation Team of Northwest Connecticut and the Thomaston Police Department
cordially invite you to the first annual "Pinwheels for
Prevention" child abuse recognition and awards ceremony.
The ceremony will be held on April 1st at 5:30 P.M. at
Coe Park in Torrington. The Child Abuse Investigation
Team of Northwest Connecticut is a multidisciplinary
team, which coordinates the activities of the agencies
involved in the investigation of cases of child abuse.
Agency representatives meet regularly to discuss
individual cases, identify system needs and work
cooperatively to improve the investigation and
prosecution of cases to better protect child victims
from further abuse or trauma. Any questions please

Woman's Club
Writes To Military
THOMASTON -
The Women's Club of Thomaston is
sponsoring a letter writing campaign to active members
of the military from Thomaston. This also includes
friends and family of Thomaston residents. If you know
of someone in the military and would like letters
written to them please send their address and name to
