Carrie A. Zimyeski was elected Chairman of Thomaston Savings Bank’s Board of Directors during the Bank’s Annual Meeting held Wednesday, October 30th. Carrie has been a Corporator of the Bank since 2005 and became a member of the Bank’s Board of Directors in 2008. She was previously elected Vice Chairman of the Board in 2018.
Carrie holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Quinnipiac University (previously Quinnipiac College) in Hamden, CT and is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Connecticut. She is a Partner at Zackin, Zimyeski, Sullivan, CPA, LLC with extensive experience in auditing and accounting throughout various industries, including manufacturing, non-profit, real estate and professional firms. Her experience also includes individual, trust, partnership and corporate tax preparation, compliance and planning. Additionally, Mrs. Zimyeski has a broad range of management service skills including accounting system and internal controls review, business sales and acquisition, and bank financing.
Mrs. Zimyeski exerts her passion for the business community, having formerly taught at a local community college and through her memberships with a variety of professional associations including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Associated Accounting Firms of New England. In addition to her professional community involvement, Carrie volunteers for a variety of local non-profit organizations and serves on the Board of the Literacy Volunteers of Greater Waterbury.
