We are proud to honor our employee Veterans during the month of November. From all of us at Thomaston Savings Bank, thank you for your service!
Amber Scouller, Assistant Branch Manager, former E-4 Specialist
Amber joined the US Army in 1997 completing her Basic Training at Fort Jackson, SC and Advanced Individual Training (AIT) at Fort Gordon, GA. She served as a 31U Signal Support Systems Specialist, responsible for supporting, maintaining, and repairing all of the communications equipment for battlefield military units. Amber also spent time in Fort Sill, OK performing training exercises and small support missions with her unit. She was honorably discharged and was transferred to live on base with her husband and children serving as an Army Officer’s wife leading the Family Readiness Group until 2008.
“I truly loved serving my country and being a part of something greater than myself. My Staff Sergeant taught me, through example, the importance of placing the soldiers in your charge above yourself. Training, coaching, mentoring and caring for their well-being ensured not only that they were looked out for, but that they would continue to do the same for their brothers and sisters in uniform. I have tried to carry those lessons with me throughout my life, especially during my time here at the Bank.” – Amber Scouller, Assistant Branch Manager
Kimberly Lebron, Senior Vice President, Chief Credit Officer, former Specialist
Kimberly served from 1984-1990 in the United States Army.
“I enlisted at the age of 17 years old and left for basic training two weeks after I graduated high school. I never regretted that decision. The lessons I learned in the Army have been invaluable and I continue to carry them with me throughout my life.” – SVP, Chief Credit Officer, Kimberly Lebron
