The Thomaston Savings Bank Foundation is proud to award $25,000 in fuel assistance grants throughout our footprint, continuing our commitment to meet the needs of our community. These grants provide assistance to those unable to afford essential utilities throughout the year, largely in the winter months. This season’s needs are anticipated to be greater than ever due to hardships brought on by COVID-19 and the increased demand placed on charitable organizations providing fuel assistance.
This year, the funds will be spread across 10 towns: Bethlehem, Bristol, Harwinton, Middlebury, Terryville, Thomaston, Waterbury, Watertown/Oakville, Wolcott, and Farmington.
“The Thomaston Savings Bank Foundation is pleased to distribute funds that benefit individuals in the communities we serve, like the fuel banks that help to keep our neighbors warm during the winter months.” – Stephen Lewis, President and CEO, Thomaston Savings Bank
