The Thomaston Savings Bank Foundation hosted its Act to Impact Employee Giving Campaign, an initiative which allows Bank employees to decide how to disburse grants locally. This year employees nominated and elected three non-profit agencies to award with a $10,000 grant, each organization residing in one of the three respective counties in which there are towns the Bank serves.
“Thomaston Savings Bank, its Foundation, and employees have been incredibly supportive of survivors of domestic and sexual violence and its prevention. Grant awards, including Act to Impact, assist Susan B. Anthony Project in raising up to 50% of income annually to assure there are no interruptions in service to our clients. Our organization and our community is strengthened by this support from Thomaston Savings Bank.”- Jeanne Fusco, Executive Director, Susan B. Anthony Project
The Act to Impact Employee Giving Campaign serves as a way for employees to further connect with their community. This Campaign was established a few years ago, allowing employees to select the organization of their choice to receive a grant funded by the Bank’s Foundation.
“A giving campaign is only as strong as the employees who support it. It was wonderful to see the response and enthusiasm from the Bank’s team during the selection process. Ultimately they chose three tremendously worthy organizations who will be using these funds to continue to serve the most vulnerable among us. I am grateful to the Foundation’s Trustees for this opportunity.” – Cheryl Lindstrom, AVP, Community Outreach Officer
