Stephen Lewis, President of the Thomaston Savings Bank Foundation presented the Boys & Girls Club of Bristol Family Center with a check for $25,000 completing the 1-1 matching challenge grant that began earlier in the fall. The grant was conditional upon a match from other donors, individuals, corporations, and foundations with the goal of raising a total of $50,000. The funds will benefit the programs and services of the Club to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens.
“The Boys and Girls Club plays an important role in the lives of children and families in the Bristol community. Thomaston Savings Bank Foundation is honored to support an organization that is so vital to our community,” said Thomaston Savings Bank Foundation President Stephen Lewis. “We are pleased to see the generosity of others in the community, who stepped up to provide their support to this Club, enabling them to meet this challenge.”
“We could not have achieved this without the support of the Thomaston Savings Bank Foundation and for that we are truly grateful! This challenge was very effective and helped us gain many new supporters of the Club,” stated Dawn Burke, Director of Corporate, Foundation and Donor Relations of the Boys & Girls Club of Bristol Family Center
