Thomaston Savings Bank has recently been ranked as one of Connecticut’s Top Workplaces for the 7th consecutive year by Hearst Media Group. The list of Top Workplaces, based solely on employee feedback, explores several aspects of workplace culture.
Thomaston Savings Bank rated highly in regards to the helpfulness and development opportunities managers provide and employees noted the exceptional care received in making it easier to do their job well. The survey results showed the Bank’s culture to be caring, rewarding, and professional with a strong emphasis on community.

The Bank’s survey had an 86% response rate in comparison to the 73% benchmark. The higher response rate shows the importance of feedback and how it ensures the company’s strong positive culture is maintained.
Top Workplaces utilizes anonymous surveying to obtain employee feedback and comments about their employers. They have collected data from more than 70,000 organizations totaling in over 23 million surveys provided an accurate and precise benchmark. The Top Workplace list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by research partner Energage, LLC, a leading provider of technology-based employee engagement tools. The anonymous survey measures several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution, and connection.
