Thomaston Savings Bank Contributes Over $40,000 to the United Way’s Annual Campaign

Thomaston Savings Bank employees donated more than $40,000 to this year’s United Way Campaign. Bank employees across all branches and departments made a pledge to support the United Way and their mission in providing basic human needs, financial stability and education to every single person across the state. Employees increased their donations from last year by almost $10,000.

“Thomaston Savings Bank is proud to be a community partner of our local United Way organizations. Their annual campaign encourages employees to give back to the organizations that make our community a great place to live. Thank you to all that donated.”– Stephen L. Lewis, President & CEO, Thomaston Savings Bank

The Bank offered different incentives encouraging employees to give back. The incentives included department lunches, extra PTO days, $100 Visa Gift Cards, Bose Bluetooth Speakers, and a day in the life of President and CEO, Stephen Lewis. The Bank saw 90% employee participation, with an increase in donations by 25%.

“It is amazing to witness the generosity of Thomaston Savings Bank employees as they make thoughtful and generous contributions to assist the United Way’s efforts. Historically employees have increased the Bank’s pledge total year after year. I am especially proud of our fundraising this year. It speaks to who we are as a group and lends itself to what we stand for as a company.” – Cheryl Lindstrom, AVP, Community Outreach Officer

The United Way is a nonprofit organization that works to support their mission of improving lives by mobilizing the caring power of communities around the world to advance the common good.
