Thomaston Savings Bank Foundation, Inc. Awards $25,000 Matching Grant to the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Waterbury

Representatives from Thomaston Savings Bank Foundation presented the Board of Directors of the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Waterbury with a check for $25,000 completing the 1-1 matching challenge grant that began earlier in the fall. The grant was conditional upon a match from other donors, individuals, corporations, and foundations with the goal of raising a total of $50,000. The funds will benefit the programs and services of the Club to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens.

“The Boys and Girls Club plays an important role in the lives of children and families in Waterbury.  Thomaston Savings Bank Foundation is honored to support an organization that is so vital to our community,” said Thomaston Savings Bank Foundation President Stephen Lewis. “We are pleased to see the generosity of others in the community, who stepped up to provide their support to this Club, enabling them to meet this challenge.”
