Thomaston Savings Bank Announces Promotions at Annual Meeting

Todd Burton, Assistant Vice President New Business Development/CRA Officer has been promoted to Assistant Vice President Retail Banking and CRA Officer. Mr. Burton joined Thomaston Savings Bank in 2011 as Assistant Vice President Regional Branch Manager/New Business Development Officer where he was responsible for effective management of production, customer service, coaching and the development of branch staff while prospecting and developing new and existing commercial relationships. In 2013, Todd took on the role of CRA Officer to help develop, implement, and administer all aspects of the Bank’s Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) compliance program. In his new role as Assistant Vice President Retail Banking and CRA Officer, Todd will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to the Marketing area as well as to the branch staff and will continue his role as CRA Officer.

When not working at the Bank, Todd can be found spending his time volunteering for many local community organizations including Board member, Asset Development Committee Chair, and Distribution Committee Chair of the Main Street Community Foundation; Trustee of the Pine Grove Association; business representative of the Bristol Prevention Coalition for a Drug Free Community; volunteer at the Bristol Boys & Girls Club Family Center; Campaign Committee member of the United Way of Greater Waterbury; volunteer  and Youth Forum Committee member for the United Way of West Central Connecticut; volunteer for the Pequabuck River Association; and a volunteer for many committees of the Central Connecticut Chambers of Commerce.

Mr. Burton holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from Southern Connecticut State University and is a graduate of the Connecticut Bankers Association Connecticut School of Finance & Management.

Todd is a resident of Wolcott, Conn. where he lives with his wife and two daughters.

 

Shannon Coughlan, Assistant Secretary Contact Center Manager has been promoted to Assistant Vice President Operations Officer. Ms. Coughlan began her career at Thomaston Savings Bank in 2001 as a Teller at the Main Office and advanced through Retail Banking in various supervisory roles, including Head Teller, Training Facilitator, and staff position in the Accounting department. In 2013, Shannon was promoted to Contact Center Manager and spearheaded the formation of the Bank’s newly formed Contact Center and was then promoted to Assistant Secretary Contact Center Manager in 2014. In her new role as Assistant Vice President Operations Officer she will be responsible for direct supervision and oversight of the Operations Department, including deposit services, direct banking and the Contact Center, data quality, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and service delivery to internal and external customers.

Ms. Coughlan is involved in the local community and participates in various community events including the annual Light Up Thomaston, Relay for Life, and Thomaston Car Show. She is a supporter of the United Way.

Shannon is a 2012 graduate of the Connecticut School of Finance & Management; she holds a Financial Services diploma and a Financial Services Operations diploma from the Center for Financial Training and is currently working on her Management diploma from New England College of Business and Finance.

Shannon is a resident of Plymouth, Conn.

 

Jennifer Pawloski, Assistant Secretary Branch Administrator has been promoted to Assistant Vice President Branch Administrator. Ms. Pawloski began her career at Thomaston Savings Bank in 1999 as a Teller and advanced through Retail Banking as a Teller Supervisor, Customer Service Representative, Assistant Branch Manager and Branch Manager. She was promoted to Assistant Secretary Branch Manager and then to her current role as Branch Administrator in 2015. In her role as Assistant Vice President Branch Administrator, she is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the branch network and is part of the Retail Banking management team.

Ms. Pawloski holds a State of Connecticut Producer License for Life Insurance and is a 2008 graduate of the Connecticut School of Finance & Management.

Jennifer is active in the local Watertown community where she resides with her husband and daughter.

 

Patryk Krakowski, Branch Manager has been promoted to Assistant Secretary Branch Manager. Mr. Krakowski joined Thomaston Savings Bank as an Assistant Branch Manager in 2012 bringing with him seven years of banking experience, in 2015 and was promoted to Branch Manager of the Highland Avenue branch. Recently, Patryk has been selected to manage the Terryville branch.

Patryk is active and involved in the Waterbury community, serving as a mentor at the Children’s Community School and is a member of the Waterbury Chamber’s Young Professionals of Greater Waterbury.

Mr. Krakowski holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Marist College and is a 2015 graduate of the Connecticut School of Finance & Management.

Patryk lives in Beacon Falls with his wife.

 

Michael Dayton, Branch Manager has been promoted to Assistant Secretary Branch Manager of the Oakville branch of Thomaston Savings Bank. Mr. Dayton is responsible for the financial and operational activities of the Oakville branch which also includes consumer lending and new account acquisition. Michael brings with him nine years of financial industry experience, including most recently a national bank. He began his career as an Operations Manager in a merchant services processing center and has held the position of AVP/Branch Manager for the past seven years.

Along with his financial industry experience, Michael is has been involved in several community organizations including the Middlebury Volunteer Fire Department, and is currently active with the Region 5 Dive Team as Lieutenant, is a Board member of the Watertown-Oakville Chamber of Commerce, and is a member of the the Middlebury Republican Town Committee. He has also volunteered for the Southbury Rotary and the Boy Scouts, he holds the title of Eagle Scout with Troop 444 of Middlebury, Conn.

Mr. Dayton holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Springfield College and is an alumni of the Salisbury School.

Michael is a resident of Middlebury, Conn.

 

Phyllis Tucker, Branch Manager has been promoted to Assistant Secretary Branch Manager of the Bristol branch of Thomaston Savings Bank located at 120 Farmington Avenue. Ms. Tucker is responsible for the daily operations, consumer lending and new account acquisition at the Bristol branch. Phyllis brings with her over 30 years of Retail Banking and branch management experience. Since May of 2012, Phyllis has held the position of Training & Development Specialist at Thomaston Savings Bank.

Phyllis is active and involved in several Bristol community organizations including Vice Chair of the Allocations Committee of the United Way of West Central Connecticut, Bristol Rotary Club, and Committee Member of the Women and Girl’s Fund of the Main Street Community Foundation. She has also held positions on the Board of the United Way of West Central Connecticut, and participated in March of Dimes walks, Habitat for Humanity builds, and volunteered at local food pantries and the United Way Day of Caring.

Ms. Tucker holds a State of Connecticut Producer License for Life Insurance and is a Notary Public as well as holds Compliance, Supervisory, and Human Resources certificates.

Phyllis is a resident of Bristol, Conn.

 

Elizabeth Carey, Commercial Credit Administration Supervisor has been promoted to Assistant Secretary Commercial Credit Administration Supervisor. Ms. Carey joined Thomaston Savings Bank in 2013 as a Portfolio Manager supporting the Commercial Lending Department promoted to Credit Administrator which evolved into a her current supervisory role in 2016. As Assistant Secretary Credit Administration Supervisor, Ms. Carey is responsible for all aspects of credit administration, including construction loan reporting, financial and convenient tracking, action plans and appraisal ordering. She also assists the Chief Lending Officer with Portfolio Stress monitoring reports, impairment reports, call reports, and other portfolio management reporting needs. And she oversees the supervision of the credit administration personnel.

When not working at the Bank, Elizabeth can be found volunteering her time at St. Matthew’s School where her daughter attends school.

Ms. Carey holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Fairfield University. She is a 2016 graduate of the Connecticut School of Finance & Management where she received the Michael J. Piette award for graduating in the top 10% of the class.

Elizabeth is a resident of Bristol, Conn. where she lives with her husband and three daughters.

 

Vania Guerrera, Mortgage Loan Originator has been promoted to Assistant Secretary Mortgage Originator. Ms. Guerrera joined Thomaston Savings Bank in 1998 as Branch Manager and continued in that role for several years moving to the various branches within Thomaston Savings Bank. In 2009, she transferred to the Residential Lending Department and became a Mortgage Originator for the Bank.

Ms. Guerrera has been involved in various civic organizations throughout the Bank’s communities including the Rotary Club, the Lions Club, and is currently a member of the Greater Waterbury Board of Realtors.

Ms. Guerrera holds Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Connecticut and is a graduate of the Connecticut School of Finance & Management.

Vania is a resident of Watertown, Conn. where she lives with her husband and son.

 

Melissa Erdtmann, Assistant Vice President Commercial Lender has been promoted to Vice President Commercial Lender. Ms. Erdtmann joined Thomaston Savings Bank in 2011 as Commercial Lender bringing with her fifteen years of Commercial Lending experience. Prior to her employment at Thomaston Savings Bank she held various roles within the commercial lending industry including underwriting consultant and commercial credit analyst. As Assistant Vice President Commercial Lender, she is responsible for managing an existing commercial portfolio in and around the Watertown market as well as will continue to develop new business opportunities for the Bank.

Ms. Erdtmann is active in the local community and has served as Treasurer of Cub Scout Pack 465 of Roxbury-Bridgewater-Washington and coach for both St. Rose of Lima School in Newtown and the Shepaug Soccer Club. She is currently the treasurer of the Shepaug Soccer Club and Board member of the Roxbury Recreation Commission.

Ms. Erdtmann holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Siena College with a concentration in Business.

Melissa is a resident of Roxbury, Conn. where she lives with her husband and two children.
