John Scarritt Named Senior Vice President, Chief Credit Officer

John Scarritt was recently named Senior Vice President, Chief Credit Officer of Thomaston Savings Bank. Scarritt transitioned from his previous role as First Vice President, Senior Commercial Loan Officer. As Chief Credit Officer, John will ensure the consistency of loan policies and procedures as well as oversee the Commercial Credit, Residential Lending and Special Assets teams.

John has over 18 years of community banking experience working with businesses of all sizes throughout Connecticut with their commercial loan and deposit product needs. He is a graduate of Central Connecticut State University where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. Additional achievements include earning the 2015 New Leader in Banking Award from the Connecticut Bankers Association, and he is currently enrolled at Stonier Graduate School of Banking.

Born and raised in Bristol, Connecticut, John has been involved with the Bristol community in various capacities, currently serving on the Board of Directors for the Main Street Community Foundation and the Environmental Learning Centers of Connecticut. He currently resides in Farmington.
