During the 2022 Annual Meeting, Thomaston Savings Bank announced several employee promotions and new roles within the Bank.

John-David Scarritt, was promoted to First Vice President, Senior Commercial Loan Officer/ Team Lead

John has over 18 years of community banking experience working with businesses of all sizes throughout Connecticut with their commercial loan and deposit product needs. Mr. Scarritt is a graduate of Central Connecticut State University where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration concentrating in Marketing. Additional achievements include earning the 2015 New Leader in Banking Award from the Connecticut Bankers Association and he is currently enrolled at Stonier National School of Banking.

Born and raised in Bristol, Connecticut, John has been involved in various capacities to several community organizations in the greater Bristol area, currently serving on the Board of Directors for the Main Street Community Foundation and the Environmental Learning Centers of Connecticut.   

Melissa Erdtmann, was promoted to Vice President, Senior Commercial Loan Officer

Melissa joined the Bank eleven years ago, bringing vast knowledge and experience from other financial institutions, as well as owning her own commercial underwriting contracting and business consulting businesses. She manages a $65M+ portfolio and is responsible for new business development throughout the Greater Waterbury market. Melissa is active in the community serving on several boards over the last several years, including Treasurer of the Town of Roxbury Recreation Commission, and is a member of the Smaller Manufacturers Association of CT. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics with a minor in Accounting from Siena College.

Diane Roveto, was promoted to Assistant Vice President, Branch Manager

Diane has been with the Bank since 2007, with 43 years of experience working in the banking industry. In her role as AVP, Branch Manager, Diane oversees the management and operations of the Terryville and Harwinton locations. She is active in the community volunteering for the Salvation Army, Harwinton Food Pantry, Harwinton Fair, and Harwinton Women’s Club and Lion’s Club. She donates her time to the Town of Harwinton fundraisers and the Northwest Chamber of Commerce.

Darlene Boucher, was promoted to Assistant Vice President, Commercial Senior Credit Analyst Supervisor/ Senior Environmental Risk Officer

Darlene has had over 30 years of experience working in banking, joining Thomaston Savings Bank in 2001 as a teller. Darlene quickly excelled in her role and moved into the Residential Lending Department where she continued to grow throughout the Commercial Lending and Credit Departments serving as an underwriter. She successfully graduated from CSFM in 2012 and further pursues learning opportunities expanding upon her knowledge of SBA lending.

Alyson Zibell, was promoted to Assistant Vice President, Financial Advisor

Alyson Zibell joined Thomaston Financial Services in 2012 after having worked in retail services at Thomaston Savings Bank since 2008. Alyson is an Infinex Advisor Representative with Series 7 and Series 66 registrations, and holds Connecticut Life, Health, and Annuity licenses. She is also Certified as a Retirement Income Certified Professional (RICP®), and in Social Security Claiming Strategies (CSSCS). Her experience includes working with clients in need of planning for any stage of life with stocks, bonds, mutual funds, annuities, and a comprehensive managed money approach. Through a multi-step process, she identifies goal markers to help clients achieve their desired steps in life. 

Amber Pinette, was promoted to Assistant Vice President, Financial Advisor

Amber started her career at the Bank in 2012 and transitioned to Thomaston Financial Services in 2014. Amber is an Infinex Advisor Representative with Series 7 and Series 66 registrations, and holds Connecticut Life, Health, and Annuity Licenses. She is also Certified as a Retirement Income Certified Professional (RICP®), and in Social Security Claiming Strategies (CSSCS). Amber works with clients on a holistic approach to meet their financial planning goals, including investments, risk management and retirement needs. Amber is an active participant in the Rotary Club in Thomaston, CT and the United Way, where she volunteers her time for the local and surrounding communities.

Sydney Butwill, was promoted to Officer, Branch Manager

Sydney has been with the Bank for the last 8 years, starting as a part-time teller. She continued to excel and grow in her previous roles, now working as Branch Manager of the Wolcott Branch. In her role, Sydney oversees the management and operations of the branch working with her team to ensure customer satisfaction. She is currently enrolled in the Connecticut School of Finance and Management and serves as a board member of the Wolcott Chamber of Commerce and the Bristol Hospital Foundation.

Justine Piccochi, was promoted to Officer, Branch Manager

Justine has been with the Bank for over a year, joining the team with more than 5 years of experience in the banking industry. In her role as Branch Manager she will continue to oversee the branch management and operations of various locations as needed. In her free time, Justine enjoys attending Hartford Wolf Pack games and loves to be outdoors.

Nadine Buckle, was promoted to Officer, Special Assets Portfolio Manager

Nadine joined the bank in 2015 as a Closer in the Commercial Lending Department. She brought years of experience previously working as a Mortgage Processor and in Foreclosure Mediation at a Law Firm. Nadine has served as a Junior and Senior Commercial Credit Analyst at the Bank, excelling in those roles leading her to assume the role as Special Assets Portfolio Manager where she manages accounts for the Special Assets Department. She has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Management.
