Thomaston Savings Bank Elects New Board Member

Thomaston Savings Bank has elected Michele Caulfield to their Board of Directors during their 2023 Annual Meeting, following the retirement of James S. Kaniewski. Ms. Caulfield is the Vice President, Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer of Stevens Company, Inc., a custom metal component manufacturing company located in Thomaston.

Michele has been with the Stevens Company for over 28 years. In her current role she manages and oversees the financial and administrative functions of the company. She is also an experienced lawyer with a focus on real estate, trusts and estates, and personal injury litigation.

Michele's impressive track record includes over a decade of board service, including previous stints on both the Smaller Manufacturer’s Association of CT and the Connecticut Business and Industry Associations (CBIA) Board of Directors. She presently holds the role of Treasurer on the Board of Directors for the Rotary Club of Thomaston, an organization committed to community betterment through diverse service projects. Additionally, Michele serves as a board member for CBIA Comp Services, a mutual company owned by Connecticut manufacturers, with a mission to reduce and stabilize workers' compensation costs for its insured members.

Michele has a lifelong connection to Thomaston where she happily resides with her long-time partner Timothy. She has two children, who are pursuing fulfilling careers alongside their partners, and three grandchildren.
