The Thomaston Savings Bank Foundation has awarded 111 grant requests in the amount of $228,908.19 in Phase II of its annual grant cycle. To celebrate, the Foundation hosted a grant reception for recipients to attend along with Thomaston Savings Bank Board of Directors, Corporators and employees. Attendees were able to come together to celebrate their success and dedication to helping the local community. The reception was held at Clocktown Brewing Company in Thomaston, on October 19th.

To best serve the community the Thomaston Savings Bank Foundation hosts its grant cycle in three phases: Hartford County, Litchfield County, and New Haven County. All three phases of the 2021 Grant Cycle considers applications from local nonprofit and government agencies in support of the following focus areas: arts & culture, community development, education and youth services, health and human services, and public safety. Applications from religious organizations will be considered for grant purposes which support programming that assists in meeting the needs of the community and/or falls under the scope of the above priority areas.
